The price depends on the category, the duration and above all the season: the floors below apply outside high season and rise in July and August. The right question is not how many trips you make per day, it is what is actually workable on the ground in Oran. Here is what our clients report, and what we see alongside them.
The point nobody tells you before you land. An Oran ride-hailing car comfortably carries two people with no luggage. As soon as you are three, or two with suitcases, the ride is refused or cancelled mid-way. And being located assumes you can name a landmark in the neighbourhood, which is rarely the case when you arrive from France for three weeks.
That is why renting becomes the only workable option from three people up, and not because it would be cheaper per trip.

The main driver must be at least 21 years old and have held their licence for at least 2 years. A category B licence is enough for a 125cc scooter. A large motorcycle such as the BMW GS 1250 requires a category A licence. A second driver can be added to the contract as long as they are declared before departure.
Your national European licence remains valid for driving in Algeria during a tourist stay. An international permit is not required by our services, but it removes any discussion at a roadside check.
Oran is easy to drive once you know three or four landmarks. Here is the essential, condensed.
Mind the 250 km per day allowance: a return trip to Tlemcen is about 340 km and a return trip to Algiers about 860 km, so beyond the daily allowance. If your stay involves those roads, add the unlimited-mileage option at booking. This table is what decides which vehicle to book. A city car is enough for town and the nearby beaches, an SUV or saloon makes sense as soon as you aim for Tlemcen or Algiers.
