The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is that of a grain that produces seven spikes, each containing a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. Allah is all-Encompassing and all-Knowing.

Quran, Surah Al-Baqara (2), verse 261.

Why we advance the money before receiving it

This is the most important point on this page, and it deserves to be explained frankly. The money you entrust to someone to give to a needy person is an amana, a sacred trust. The one who holds it is accountable. If an unforeseen event occurs, if the person holding the sum disappears or dies before fulfilling what was entrusted to them, the responsibility remains before Allah.

We have chosen not to put ourselves in this position. We do not want to keep other people's money, even for a few days. So we proceed in the opposite way: we pay first, from our own pocket, we document it, then we are reimbursed.

What this changes for you: you never pay into a void. You don't pay for a promise; you reimburse an advance for which you have already received photo and video proof. The risk is on our side, not yours.

We do not present this as an achievement. It is simply the only way we feel comfortable providing this service.

Three ways to donate in Algeria

You choose the form of your donation. No amount is imposed, and no amount is displayed: you decide, we execute.

Settle a debt at a hanout (shop)

In Algeria, many families buy on credit at the neighborhood grocer. The merchant notes down what is taken in a notebook, and the debt accumulates over weeks: semolina, oil, milk, essential goods.

How it's verified: The merchant knows the families in his neighborhood better than anyone. He knows who buys on credit out of real necessity. We review the notebook with him.

How it's settled: We pay the debt directly to the merchant, never in cash to the family. The use cannot be diverted, and the family's dignity remains protected as the gesture remains discreet.

Support an orphanage

The donation is given to an identified reception structure that we know and whose existence and operation we have verified.

How it's verified: We go to the location. We do not give anything to a structure we have not visited.

How it's documented: Photo and video of the handover, respecting the children's modesty and dignity. No face is exposed humiliatingly, no distress is staged.

Support a Quran memorization student

Children and students learn the Quran in madrasas while their families are going through difficult times. These are real needs, but rarely expressed out loud.

How it's verified: The precariousness is attested by their teacher or by the imam, who interact with them daily and know their family situation.

How it's delivered: The sum is entrusted to the teacher or the imam for the student concerned, then documented. We do not give money directly to a child.

How it works: making a donation in Algeria in five steps

1

You write to us on WhatsApp

You state your intention: the type of donation desired, on whose behalf you are donating if you wish, and if you prefer to remain anonymous. Nothing else is requested at this stage.

2

We identify a real case

We look for a situation that matches your intention and verify it on the ground, with the merchant, imam, or teacher who knows the person.

3

We advance the sum and settle directly

We pay out of our own pocket and disburse to the right contact: the merchant for a debt, the structure for an orphanage, the teacher or imam for a Quran student.

4

We document

Photo and video of the payment, with your name mentioned if you wish. If you have chosen anonymity, no name is spoken or written.

5

You receive the proof, then you reimburse the advance

The documentation reaches you via WhatsApp. You then reimburse us the advanced sum, according to the terms agreed with you.

How we choose beneficiaries

Things must be said as they are. In Algeria, begging has become an organized activity for some of those who practice it. Healthy people, sometimes far better off than those who give to them, position themselves in strategic locations and live off the generosity of others. At the same time, genuinely needy families never ask for anything, out of modesty, and it is precisely these who go unnoticed.

From France, Belgium, or Canada, you have no way to make this distinction. That's normal: it requires knowledge of the terrain, the neighborhood, the faces, and the habits. This is exactly the work we do for you.

Our method relies on a local network of people who have no interest in lying to us:

  • Neighborhood merchants: They know who buys on credit for months and why, who repays as soon as they can, and who no longer repays at all.
  • Imams: They know the families of their mosque, including those who never complain.
  • Madrasa teachers: They see the state of a child every day, their clothes, their absences, and can read what the family will not say.

In addition, we conduct an on-site verification before any disbursement. We apply high standards and are prepared to say no. This is not out of contempt for anyone: it is the respect we owe to your trust and to the rights of the truly needy.

Proof, not promise

What you concretely receive

For each donation, we send you via WhatsApp:

  • A photo of the payment made, taken at the time of delivery.
  • A short video of the same moment, with the real context of the location.
  • The mention of your name if you wish, or that of the person to whom you dedicate the donation.
  • A description of the beneficiary's situation, within the limits of what modesty allows.

We do not disseminate anything publicly without agreement, and we do not stage any distress. Respect for the beneficiary's dignity comes before the desire to showcase.

An entirely free service, with no commission

0% commission. No administration fees, no percentage withheld, no quid pro quo requested. The entirety of what you decide to give goes to the beneficiary.

Why? Keyin-DZ is a company established in Oran, which thrives on its activity. We have a well-indexed website, visible to the Algerian diaspora: this is a blessing, and we consider ourselves accountable for it. Placing this visibility at the service of the needy, for free, seems to us the least we can do. Our activity finances the time, travel, and verification that this service requires.

This service will not lead you to any paid service, and it has nothing to sell you.

Giving in the name of a loved one, living or deceased

You can dedicate your donation to someone: a deceased parent, a sick loved one, a child, or yourself. Simply indicate the name when you send your message.

This name is then mentioned at the time of delivery and appears in the documentation you receive. If you prefer nothing to be said, anonymity is fully respected without question. May Allah accept from you and from those you carry in your intention.

Zakat, Sadaqa, Sadaqa Jariya: What you need to know

These three words are often used interchangeably. Here, for educational purposes only, is what distinguishes them.

Zakat

Obligatory charity, one of the pillars of Islam, due under specific conditions of threshold and duration, and intended for defined categories of beneficiaries. Its validity depends on adherence to these rules.

Sadaqa

Voluntary charity, with no minimum amount or obligation. It can be given at any time, to any person in need, and in any form.

Sadaqa Jariya

Charity whose benefit extends over time, beyond the initial act. Support for learning the Quran is traditionally associated with this category.

We do not issue any religious opinions. We cannot qualify your donation or guarantee the validity of a zakat. What we can do is honestly describe the beneficiary's situation and the exact nature of the disbursement, so you can ask the appropriate authority. For any questions regarding your personal zakat, consult a trusted scholar or imam.

Do you want to help a family in Algeria?

Frequently Asked Questions about donating in Algeria

How can I be sure my donation truly arrives?
Because we pay before you do. We advance the sum, we pay the merchant, orphanage, or teacher directly, then we send you the photo and video on WhatsApp. You only reimburse the advance after seeing the proof.
Do you take a commission on donations?
No. The service is free: 0% commission, no administrative fees, no deductions. The entire sum goes to the beneficiary. Keyin-DZ funds this service through its operations in Oran.
Why do you advance the money before receiving it?
Because a donor's money is an amana, a trust for which the holder will be held accountable. We prefer not to hold it: we pay from our own pocket, provide proof, and are reimbursed afterwards. For you, this means you never pay into a void.
How do you choose families and beneficiaries?
We rely on a local network: neighborhood merchants who know the families and their debt ledgers, imams, madrasa teachers. Each situation is verified on-site before any payment is made. We apply high standards, as in Algeria, begging has become an activity for some, and distant donors cannot make this distinction.
Can I choose the type of donation?
Yes. You indicate on WhatsApp whether you wish to settle a debt at a hanout, support an orphanage, or help a student memorizing the Quran. If you have no preference, we direct it towards the most urgent need we have identified.
Can I donate in the name of a loved one or a deceased person?
Yes. You provide us with the name of the person, living or deceased, and it is mentioned at the time of the handover as well as in the documentation you receive. May Allah accept from you and from them.
Can I remain anonymous?
Yes, anonymity is fully respected without any questions. In this case, no name is mentioned or written, and the proof is sent to you in the same manner.
Can this count as zakat?
We do not issue any religious opinions and do not guarantee the validity of a zakat. We can precisely describe the beneficiary's situation and the nature of the payment. For any questions related to your personal zakat, consult a trusted scholar or imam.
How do I send money from France, Belgium, or Canada?
First, write to us on WhatsApp: we agree on the type of donation, we advance the sum, and we send you the proof. The reimbursement terms are then defined with you, according to your country of residence. No payment is requested from you before the proof has reached you.

Transparency note. Keyin-DZ is not a registered charity and does not present itself as such. It is a company established in Bir El Djir, Oran province, that offers a free intermediary service between donors and people in need.

The process described on this page relies on an advance: the sum is paid by us before your contribution, and you then reimburse an expense that has already been incurred, upon presentation of proof. This is therefore not a fundraising effort.

No tax receipt is issued and no tax deductibility is possible. For any questions regarding your personal zakat, consult a trusted scholar or imam.
